Lent

These incredible munchkins.
Oh how I love them so.

The 4 spent last night with me.
Half of them were in bed with Mark and me.
Sweetest moments of my life are waking up in the middle of the night with a foot on my chest or blond hair in my face.
Priceless.

I have mentioned our church on here before.
It's called Eleven 22.

We really enjoy our church.

The church encourages Lent.
Growing up Baptist,
we didn't partake or even know what Lent was.

Basically, it is recognizing the sacrifice that Christ took upon Himself when He died on the cross.
Taking that knowledge and choosing something
to sacrifice from our own lives.
It is encouraged to begin on Ash Wednesday through Easter.

I like the idea of taking off something and using that time as a reminder to focus on Jesus.
Some people stop consuming chocolate or candy, some choose to take a TV time-out or even just a certain show they love.

It's tough for me to come up with
something that would be a real sacrifice.

My main vice would have to be Diet Coke,

especially when it comes from McDonalds.

The fact that I can actually write about a Diet Coke from McDonalds shows me that I am in fact, an addict.
Ha!

Well, now you know how you can pray for me.

Tonight we have a special prayer service leading into
Ash Wednesday.
I love the importance they put on it.

Hope you are having a wonderful week.
I love you all!!
