Beach Baptism

This is our first year at our church.
We love absolutely everything about it.
Mark and I volunteered a couple weeks ago
to help with the yearly Beach Baptism.
We had no idea what to expect.

We showed up at the beach
at 7:00 a.m.
We had our teal volunteer tee shirts on.
We had our umbrella, our little cooler
and our two fold-up chairs.

We get out there and began putting up the
many canopies the church had provided.
The church was very organized
and had lots of volunteers so it was fun and easy.

When everything was set up,
volunteers began to set their own tents up.
Mark and I didn't get that memo.

Just picture everyone with these amazing Ozark Trail and Academy gazebo tents.
Some had Florida Gator tents and Jaguars.
Mark and I had our little umbrella.
We were pitiful.
People even offered us food.
Ha!

It was truly amazing.
We had no idea what we were in store for.

Surely,
it was a taste of heaven.

Over 250 people were baptized.

Everyone in a red shirt was baptized!
I grabbed the picture below from
the churches Facebook page.

This photo below shows Mark talking with a man who came to watch his girlfriend get baptized.
He isn't a believer
so it was a blessing to see Mark stay with him all day
 and make him feel welcomed.

We made lots of new friends all day.

God is doing some amazing things
and I'm so blessed to be a part of this church.

Be sure the next baptism,
I will have me a big ole tent.
(or maybe not)

Our Easter

Where do I begin?
I have had the most fun in the last few weeks.

I have so much to share but it will have to be in increments because I have had some jam-packed days.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
This year seemed a little more special for me.
I don't know why,
maybe I had more time to spend seeking Him.
I'm so thankful for Jesus
& His perfect plan.
I love Him dearly!

Kristen & I spent Easter Eve with my bff, Theresa.

Theresa has the gift of making everything special and fun.
We have been friends since the early 90's.
I can't imagine life without her.
I need to blog about her Plantation style home one day.
It is in south Georgia and gorgeous!

We spent the night, went to church with her on Easter & had the most delicious dinner with her family.
Thanks TK! Let's make it an annual tradition.

The afternoon was spent watching my 4 favorite grandkids hunt for eggs. Actually, there were so many eggs that hunting wasn't necessary.

When I was a child,
I believe mom hid a dozen hard-boiled eggs.
Seems like my older brother always found them.
Did we eat them things?
I don't remember.

Thank you China for cheap plastic eggs
so we can now carpet the front yard
with colorful happiness.

Abi was thrilled with each egg she found.

 Eli found the "golden egg".
He's a genius.

I snapped a gazillion pics of Kacey because it was my first time seeing her haircut and I can't get over how adorable she is.

We spent the remainder of the day
by the pool & watching the kids.

I can't think of anything better!
I'm so blessed.

Sunday

We have been in search for a church to call
"home" since we moved here 6 months ago.

I thought it would be easier.

There are churches on just about every corner.
Maybe I'm too picky.

I told Mark today that maybe
we need to just commit to one close to home.
I think I should just be thankful
to worship with others who love God.
Does it matter if the music isn't just right?
Does the preacher have to be my style?

Now that I say that out loud,
I am rotten.
I'm going to work on it.
We are blessed to live in America.

The day was gorgeous today.
Went for a bike ride.
I have a beautiful park near home.

I am in the market for a kayak.
Don't you think I need one?

Hope you are having a glorious day!
