Happy Days

Where does the time go?
Seems like forever that I sat down to share with you.

The weather has been glorious in Kansas.
The Spring colors are breath-taking this year.
I feel like everywhere I turn, God speaks and says,
"Hey, Wendy, look at this one."
He thrills me with all the colors.

Impressive.

Sorry it's fuzzy.
I was going downhill on my bike.
When you have the opportunity to finally go downhill,
you don't stop to take a picture.
You just don't.

These are in the Walmart parking lot.

I have been taking advantage of the amazing bike trails
offered in Kansas.

I could ride forever,
if someone would come pick me up :)
I rode about 13 miles a couple times this week.
Some of the hills are a challenge
but I'm getting better.

I have been getting more acquainted with my embroidery machine.

I love all the fun I am having with it.

Of course,
I have a family picture to share.

Dani Mae wanted her hair curled like her doll, Caroline.
Pure sweetness.

Here is a great family shot from the ball park.

Oh how I love them!

Hope you are having a happy day!

Easter Pictures

We made precious memories
all week with Daniel & Danielle and the kids.
I kept reminding myself to enjoy every minute
because I knew it would be over way too soon.

Before they headed home,
Danielle and I wanted to get some pictures
of the kids in their Easter outfits.

We started with the hope of getting 1 good group picture.
Sounds easy enough.

Yeah, not so much.

The best shots turned out to be solo pictures.

Abi loved her twirly dress.

Dani looks so sweet in her blue dress.

Kacey is growing up too quickly for this MiMi.
She is wearing my pearls and looks like a little southern belle.

 I love this happy boy.

He has the best personality.
I am pondering the fact that he beat me
(more than a few times)
in a couple card games we played.
Turkey!

Oh well,
Happy Easter!

Container Garden

The weather has been glorious.
The budding trees & chirping birds
seem to call me out doors.
Mark and I decided to plant a small garden.

Yes, it is too early.
Truth is,
I've never been good at following rules.

Mark just announced it's supposed
to be in the 30's in a few days.
Oh boy.

I have decided to do a container garden.
If you look online,
you can see so many options.
Here are a few I grabbed off google images.

This last photo is like mine.
I actually got two and may need to get one more.
I planted tomatoes and cabbage in one of mine.
I will be thrilled if it looks like this in a couple months.

The containers are elevated so my back is thankful.
Kansas has lots of rabbits so this will hopefully keep
them from eating my veggies.

I am thrilled to get my hands in the dirt.
I love the feeling the warm sun on my white self.

Now, do I go upstairs and embroider?
Do I walk out the door and work in the garden?
Decisions, decisions.

Hope you are having a fabulous day!

My prayer for you today...

"The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face
shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face
toward you
and give you peace."

Numbers 6:24-26

Spring

Rabbits are everywhere.

Thumper wants to know where his carrot is.

Look at my neighborhood.

Spring is finally making an appearance.

Every road I turn down reveals stunning views.

Thrilled to see green grass.

I'm grateful to live where I can witness the change of seasons.
I flew to DC Monday morning to miss the forecasted snow.
I hope my recently planted flowers are hardy enough to survive the drop in temperature.

Meanwhile,
I'm enjoying our nations capital.
And…

Oh my!

Spring

I love Spring!
The weather has begun to warm in our neck of the woods.
My bones are happy to be thawing out.
The neighbors are coming out from hibernation.
Grass is slowly turning from brown to green.

I'm always a little too quick to plant flowers.
I don't mind covering them on the few nights
left where it will go below 30.

Mark & I found a few yard sale treasures which was thrilling.
He wanted a desk and found a beautiful solid-wood desk that is perfect for him to work from home.
We also found an oversized chair
which matches our sofa perfectly.
I will share photos when I put it all together.

The afternoon was spent at the ball park.

Mid 50's and clear blue skies made for the perfect day.

Those blue skies resulted in some sunburned fans.
It was a close game but Kansas pulled it out and won.

The day was perfect to cheer my homesick
and tired of being cold soul.

Then…
the Gators lost in the Final Four.
Waah! Waah!
How could they?
They didn't even look like they cared.

I got over it and went outside
& watered my beautiful flowers.

Hope you are having a wonderful Spring!
